Printing Comes To Europe:

Movable Typography - Guttenberg:

Movable type is the system and technology of printing and photography that uses movable component to reproduce the elements of a document usually on the medium of paper.

The world's first movable type printing technology for printing paper books was made of porcelain materials and was invented around 1040 AD in China during the Northern Song Dynasty by the inventor BI SHENG The oldest extant book printed with movable metal typeJIKJI was printed in Korea in 1377 during the Goryeo dynasty.

The development of the printing press in Europe may have been influenced by various sporadic reports of movable type technology brought back to Europe by returning business people and missionaries to China. Some of these medieval European accounts are still preserved in the library archives of the Vatican and Oxford University among many others.[5] However, none of these early European accounts before Gutenberg discuss printing.

Around 1450, Johannes Gutenberg introduced the metal movable-type printing press in Europe, along with innovations in casting the type based on a matrix and hand mold. The small number of alphabetic characters needed for European languages was an important factor. Gutenberg was the first to create his type pieces from an alloy of lead, tin, and antimony—and these materials remained standard for 550 years.

For alphabetic scripts, movable-type page setting was quicker than woodblock printing. The metal type pieces were more durable and the lettering was more uniform, leading to typography and fonts. The high quality and relatively low price of the Gutenberg Bible (1455) established the superiority of movable type in Europe and the use of printing presses spread rapidly. The printing press may be regarded as one of the key factors fostering the Renaissance  and due to its effectiveness, its use spread around the globe.

the Baroque was present in many other arts and utilitarian objects, including furniture, with many elaborate pieces that could be considered as works of art on their own.

The Baroque period in art history came after the Renaissance and was characterized by the use of abundant ornamentation. Baroque style started in Italy at the beginning of the 17th century and lasted until the first decades of the 18th, when it was gradually replaced by the Rococo style

The lighter, more graceful Rococo style originated in France and came at the end of the Baroque period.  In fact, it is generally considered a subset of the Baroque era, notes SF Gate HomeGuides. In fact, some historians call it late Baroque. Rococo is a style that was used in interior design and the arts by artists and designers, but not by architects. Regardless, it was a shorter stylistic period: The Baroque era spanned the 17th century, however, the Rococo era lasted from the 1730s to the 1760s, which was during the time of Louis XV.

While Baroque was opulent and heavier –more “serious” – Rococo is considered more lighthearted, frivolous, fantastical and whimsical. Decoration was typically used to create a sense of flow, particularly using abstract and asymmetrical detail.

Rococo style also promoted a one story salon to promote intimacy and it was not as focused impressing guests, as was the Baroque era with its two-story rooms.

Bullying

some people just don't know how to raise their children , and how to make them respectful, and how to be gentle with others. and some kids just bully each other for no reason .

My daughtr Daad being bullied Just because of her name . they found that her name is not familiar to

them , and it was panful for all of us as her family .that's why I want to give a bit of information about it

Bullying is an ongoing and deliberated misuse of power in relationship, it’s the use of force or threat to aggressively abuse and dominate. It characterized by three categories: hostile intent, imbalance power, repletion over a period, and it could be verbal, physical, or social behavior that intend to cause physical, social psychological (emotional) harms.

Bullying can be in personal way or online via social media and digital platforms.

Bullying can develop in a content which human interacts with each other, this may include school, family, and workplace.

There is a lot of reasons why students are bullied, sometimes because they are different ,clever ,or popular.it can be caused by the  differences in race ,sexuality ,religion, disability ,ability ,weight ,anything create differences between child and other.

Students who bully sometimes have problems and are unhappy. They may be trying to make up for a lack of attention, power or love in their own lives; by bullying, they try to get these in their own lives. These students need to feel powerful and seem to enjoy harming others. They often do not understand the feelings of the person they bully sometimes comes from a belief that it's okay to act that way. They don't even know that what they are doing is bullying behavior, or they don't understand how much hurt and anxiety they cause.

the missing philosophy i our public school

John Dewey is the father of this philosophy who Came up with the pragmatic and Experimental philosophy, and he believed in the democracy in education and that students need to learn practical daily live skills in order to build better society, students should learn different concepts, they have to test the ideas, and knowing it using the scientific problem solving by using scientific method (observation. Taking notes, extra...) for example based on incur based learning concept ,instead of giving my students all the information about a certain lesson ,I ask them to go and prepare it and write down the causes ,effects, and results, and to write down their opinion .and to find solution at the end.

This philosophy is missing in the public school that I know, the school do not take in consideration the child centered approaches, whish as we know is respect the child perspective and that said that teaching starts from the child needs and interested, and work with the child as an explorer make himself feel free to discover how to receive the information from the teacher.

Unfortunately, some teachers consider the answer is wrong if the student use a different way of solving a certain exercise of math, and didn’t care even if it have the correct, it’s a live example of how teacher and school deals with the students, do not care about experience or let them try new method in learning, they deal with students as recorders, not learners  .

So the pragmatism in my opinion it’s one of the important philosophy that is missing in our schools,
